The Friends of the Aurora Public Library is pleased to announce that Dale Lashnits has accepted the position of Publicity Chair. This position has been vacant for several years and Dale brings much needed ideas and enthusiasm to the Board.
He has several goals, some of which are:
- To inform FAPL members first when FAPL makes news
- To keep the general public informed about the Book Outlet and FAPL
- To promote membership in the FAPL organization
He has a couple of reminders for FAPL members:
First, Book Outlet gift certificates make great “stocking stuffers” this time of year. Certificates are available in $5 and $10 amounts from the cashiers at the FAPL Book Outlet.
Secondly, FAPL is looking for new members. Please support Aurora’s library system by giving a FAPL membership as a gift this year and/or by introducing friends to the Book Outlet and FAPL. Both are great opportunities for readers and all proceeds are donated to the Aurora Public Library (APL). In 2010, FAPL has donated $51,000 to support the APL’s youth programs and purchase of books.
