The Friends were honored with a Proclamation by Mayor Stephen D. Hogan and the City Council of the City of Aurora on October 15th that designates the week of October 21 to October 27, 2012 as Friends of the Aurora Public Library Week. This is in conjunction with National Friends of Libraries Week that is being celebrated across the country. During this week, the Friends will be conducting a Membership Drive at the Central Aurora Public Library from 10 am to 2 pm.
