24 Hours to Give Where You Live

Dear Friends of the Aurora Public Library Members: By now, you know that we are participating in COLORADO GIVES DAY – 24 HOURS TO GIVE WHERE YOU LIVE. Colorado Gives Day is an initiative to increase philanthropy in Colorado through online giving. Presented by Community First Foundation and FirstBank, Colorado Gives Day will take place during a 24-hour period on Tuesday, December 4, 2012. Donations will be accepted through GivingFirst.org with a goal to inspire and unite Coloradans in supporting hundreds of local non-profits.

During this 24-hour period, 100% of your donations will go directly to the Friends of the Aurora Public Library as all processing fees are being paid for us. In addition, FirstBank has provided a $300,000 Incentive Fund which will go to increase the value of your donation on this day of giving.

As Members of the Friends, you know our award-winning used bookstore, The Book Outlet and the great bargains that you can find there! And you know that all of our net proceeds go to accomplish our mission of providing financial donations to the Aurora Public Library for services and programs that would otherwise not be available. One of these is the innovative children’s and teen Summer Reading Programs – we are a major supporter of these programs.

We know that not everyone is comfortable donating online – even through a secure, safe website. We do have a donation box at the front desk in The Book Outlet if you would prefer to donate that way.

We understand that charitable giving is a very personal choice and that many of you give to the Friends in other ways. We would appreciate you considering a tax-deductible monetary donation to the Friends of the Aurora Public Library on December 4th so that we can continue to accomplish our mission. You can click on the DONATE NOW BUTTON on any page of our website. You can also use this button to pre-schedule your donation now so that it occurs on December 4th.

Thank you for your ongoing support.
