The Friends of the Aurora Public Library were honored to receive a $1,000 donation from The Nunez Foundation. This Foundation, established in the 1990s by Norma Nunez, raised thousands of dollars each year to provide college scholarships to many deserving youth in the original Aurora neighborhood where she and her husband, Nabor, had their cherished restaurant, La Cueva. With the passing of Norma in November, 2016, the Foundation wrapped up its business by donating to local non-profit organizations like the Friends whose primary mission is encouraging literacy and supporting local educational programs of the Aurora Public Libraries.
